Speakers are Ahmad Al Ansari, Director of the President’s Technical Office in Ashghal; Don Ward, chief executive of Constructing Excellence and now based in Doha; and Jenefer Alam Construction and Quality Efficiency Manager of Local Roads and Drainage Programme (Parsons Brinckerhoff) on the impact of Construction Enhancement Task Force run by LRDP during 2017 and the benefits from lean interventions on pilot projects which led directly to the establishment of Constructing Excellence in Qatar.
Speaker’s Biography
Ahmad Al Ansari is Head of the President’s Technical Office in Ashghal, the Public Works Authority (PWA). His previous roles include Head of Planning, Design & Contracts for the Qatar Olympic Committee on projects for the 2006 Games and as Head of Water Projects for the Ministry of Electricity and Water.
Don Ward is Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence (CE), the not-for-profit best practice and knowledge transfer organisation which is part of the charitable BRE Trust in the UK. Don specialises in policy making, industry change, benchmarking, supply chain integration, collaborative working and sustainability in housing, buildings and infrastructure. He is now based in Qatar, working with Ahmad al Ansari in the Ashghal Technical Office to establish Constructing Excellence in Qatar.
Jenefer Alam is Construction and Quality Efficiency Manager of the PWA’s LR&DP programme. She works with Parsons Brinckerhoff and has been instrumental in the embedment of Constructing Excellence and Lean within the Programme. She comes with diverse civil engineering experience including construction, design, tendering, innovations and business efficiency. She is a core member of the Constructing Excellence in Qatar.
